范本:

Dear Mr. Macdonald,

I wish to extend my sincere thanks to you for taking time from your busy schedule to receive us in Canberra during our visit to Australia in July 2005.

I greatly enjoyed our discussion on subjects of common interest and was deeply impressed with your views on these subjects. Indeed, the conversation was very enlightening and the atmosphere exceptionally congenial.

Our visit was far more productive than we had expected, and we appreciate the enormous potential of our bilateral economic relations. I have conveyed your kind invitation to visit Australia in November this year to Minister Ho. She is currently looking at her schedule to see if such a visit would be possible. I certainly believe that further visits will create a favorable climate for future cooperation. In this regard, I not only look forward to our Minister Ho being able to visit Australia but also hope that I shall have the pleasure of reciprocating your hospitality to you in Taipei.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr. Berger:

I am writing to express my most grateful thanks to you for the courtesies you extended to me during my recent visit to Frankfurt for attending the meeting with the prominent representatives of German economy, organized by your esteemed Ministry, to discuss the status and progress of our Six-Year National Development Plan.

The arrangements made for the meeting and the smooth way in which you conducted were excellent and reflected very great credit on the organizer. Both Mr. Dean Chiang and I were deeply impressed with the enthusiasm shown by the participants regarding their interest in participating in our major infrastructure projects.

During our discussions, we have not only gained a host of new impressions and ideas for business cooperation, but we have also been able to establish pleasant personal contacts with senior executives of leading German industries. I am convinced that warm and friendly personal relations are the basis of sound and prosperous business relations. Therefore, we are very grateful for your kind effort and H. E. Minister Ernst Welteke’s support in making our visit to the State of Hessen a successful one.

I am enclosing a copy of my letter to Dr. Klaus Milz of AEG for your reference.

With renewed thanks and warmest regards,

                                                                                                  Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Wilson:

Thank you very much for your letter of February 17 and for your kindness of enclosing a copy of the CRS report regarding U.S.- Taiwan Economic Relations.

I have read, with immeasurable interest, the magnificent report you wrote on your visit to Taipei in September 1988. I was tremendously impressed by the comprehensiveness of your coverage. In my opinion, your report was uniformly perceptive, penetrating and objective, written in the best tradition of scholarly works.

As the former Premier and, earlier, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China on Taiwan, there is nothing more satisfying to me than to see published in the Library of Congress, such a first-hand interpretive report on views of key decision makers in Taiwan regarding current issues in U. S. – Taiwan economic relations that would give both the U. S. Congress and the U .S. Government an enlightened picture of my country’s positions on many of the issues between our two countries.

The primary purpose of this letter, therefore, is to convey to you my very sincere and profound appreciation to a better Sino-American understanding.

       With warmest regards,

Sincerely yours,

Dear Mrs. de Winter:

Thank you very much for sending us a box of chocolate and holiday greetings.

1988 passed rapidly as an eventful year in my country. It has been a good year in every way for which I am deeply grateful to our God.

My greetings for you this year is a prayer that you my have the LOVE, JOY, HOPE, and PEACE through all of the year of 1989. You, your love, and your prayers mean much to us.

Lillian sends you, via separate mail, a piece of Chinese embroidery as a token of our remembrance.

Sincerely yours,

Dear Mr. Tsao,

On returning home from my trip to several Far Eastern countries, I would like to thank you very cordially for the excellent programme arranged by your Organization for the visit of a BDI delegation in June. During our stay in your country, we have not only gained a host of new impressions and ideas for business cooperation but we have also been able to establish pleasant personal contacts and to learn a great deal about the fascinating history of your country.

Our visit to the Euro-Asia Trade Organization has provided us with valuable information about the economy of the Republic of China, and your hospitality at luncheon on 20th June was also greatly appreciated. The pleasant atmosphere during the Chinese meal afforded us a welcome opportunity to round off our impressions through informal talks. The thoughtful manner in which Mr. Jang took care of our delegation was of great help to us in carrying out our programme.

I hope it will be possible to further strengthen cooperation between your Organization and the German industrial associations. The BDI will sum up the information and impressions gained by the delegation in a report to be circulated throughout the German business community.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr. Liu,

Thank you very much for your kindness in advising me of your retirement from government service as of April 20, 1972, and of the new career that you have embarked upon as President of the Asia Fiber Co., Ltd.

I am sure that you can look back with considerable satisfaction to the contributions you have made to the economic development of the Republic of China in your years of service both at home and abroad especially in Vietnam and Thailand. I am equally sure that you will be able to meet successfully all the challenges you might face in the very responsible post you have now assumed in the industrial world.

In your new career, in which I have very much pleasure in joining your very many other friends in extending you hearty congratulations, you can truly say, “Life begins at 55.”

Please accept my best wishes for a very happy and prosperous future for you and the Asia Fiber Co., Ltd.

                                                                                    Sincerely,
